Underpinnings #2

This week my fancy was caught by a new Ali, a folly, some words to the wise,
a Rothko and two knitted beauties.

For a bit of added delight, please visit Botanical Sketches and Other Stories, a blog by Shevaun Doherty located on my Blog List. Her recent post will open anyone's mind's cage-door.

I'm Packin' . . .

. . . for an afternoon of knitting with the Featonby woman.

Finally, Rowan's Earth Stripe Wrap will begin.

Opps! Forgot about this. It's coming along for the ride.

All nicely packed and . . .

waiting by the front door.

It'll be interesting to see what actually is accomplished!

Underpinnings

Ever let the Fancy roam,
Pleasure never is at home;
Let winged Fancy wander
Through the thought still spread beyond her;
Open wide the mind's cage-door,
She'll dart forth, and cloudward soar.
Fancy  by John Keats

Once a week I plan to share where my fancy wandered through Pinterest - beauties, delights and all the wealth of visual pleasures that opened wide my mind's cage-door.

Tosh by Gosh

Found these darling arm warmers* on Pinterest about 2 months ago.

Feats and I road-tripped to The Needle Emporium.
Julie had this . . .

. . . and these. Perfect.

My intention today was to display the knitting,

but the gorgeous colour

was not photographing properly.

Bun usually makes everything better, but this too blue.

So, this is the closest. A lovely steel blue.

Spring/Summer Knitting?

Funny how a windchill factor of -23C plays tricks with glass.

 Thank goodness for Canada Post.

I'm not a fan of Spring and Summer knits,
but this delivery was still welcome.

 OMG! Are those shorts?!

Feats will be glad to see Denim in use.

 Kinda cute . . .

 as are these . . .

and this.
Cute enough, but I'll dedicate my knitting time to wool.

De-Decorate

We had a green Christmas this year.

The snow and cold waited till January.

Time to de-decorate.

 Toodle-oo, tree.

So long, swags.

Retire, ribbons and bells.

Cherrio, sparkly bits.

Retreat to the basement, Santa.

Hmm . . . there's always one refusing to go!
