Sometimes a Geezer

During our recent UK trip Big D became the focus of some photos
which evolved into the
Geezer on a Bench Series, UK 2014 Edition

Sometimes Geezer sat among flowers.

and sometimes not.

Sometimes Geezer was nearby . . .

and sometimes not.

Sometimes Geezer acknowledged me . . .

and sometimes not.

Sometimes Geezer could find a vacant bench . . .

and sometimes not.

That was fun, Big D.
Let's do it again.

The Shambles, York

Ramshambles is tucked near the end of this Medieval lane.
In the window stood a wee skeleton.

Its pattern was available! So, I bought it . . .

and the companion attire pattern, too.

Gargoyles also lurked, but their patterns

were only available at the Minster.

 Couldn't resist the tail.

All patterns were designed by Georgina Manvell

Guess Where We've Been?

My knitting friend, Carol, generously offered the use
of her townhouse within the walls of York.
How perfect.
A wonderful opportunity to visit cathedrals, gardens
and National Trust properties.

The Shambles

Betty's Tea Room

Beningbrough Hall

Fountains Abbey

The Surgery (you know which one)

Nunnington Hall

Castle Howard

Carol, being a RHS member of long standing, arranged tickets
 for the Chelsea Flower Show.
That meant a couple of days in London. Too bad!
Hawks in Trafalgar Square
to control the surplus pigeon population.

The People's Choice Award winning garden at the CFS

A folly that will somehow find its way to my garden.

Love England . . .
. . . but, it hasn't got Bun.

End of 2013 summer purchase.
I'll give these a go when it is warmer.

Are you aware of Planet Shoes? Their website is highly informative and they guarantee 100% satisfaction.
Hundreds of styles online that never make it to my local stores.
