Five Months On


The December devastation so hard to comprehend.

 Our birches,

 our wondrous birches,

 have met a wretched end.

 So sturdy at the base.

So frail at the crown.

What's left to do but cut them down?

Thanks, Feats. The front garden is tidier without all the fallen branches. Too much rain to take a decent photo.
