A Black Haired Beauty with Big Dark Eyes

Started hummin' a tune from 1962 . . .

Workin' on the Night Blooms.

With points all her own sitting way up high . . .

. . .  and oh, the wonder!

Felt the lightening!

Workin' on mysteries with lotsa clues.

Ain't it funny how the night moves?

With apologies to Mr. Bob Seger

After The Storm

I recently found these photos taken just after the electricity returned
 December 26.

Hub and I agreed on prezzie 'themes' this year.

 He wanted food related items.

Well . . . what better than a breakfast set from Emma Bridgewater?

Two bowls, two plates and two mugs.

 He's a lucky man.

Okay, okay. Will you let me out now?

Any Ideas?

I recently received a comment saying what a lucky girl I am
being able to stock up on a certain yarn at half price.
And I am.
 For Christmas I was given a hank of Handmaiden . . .

and a hank of Sweet Georgia.
But, what to do with them?
With the Casbah I've begun Lacy Baktus.
Still, the Cashluxe fine hasn't found a form yet.

I began Rosa with my Tosh Pashmina, but I'm not thrilled.
At the moment I'm in a frame of mind where this kind of knitting is
 kind of boring.
I need to stop starting.
Any ideas?

An Addiction Deepens

I've used various wool yarns to knit LCR clothing,
but was never completely satisfied with the final fit.

Julie has recommended using cotton for the clothes.

 Stitch definition should be lovely.

 And the colours . . . yum!
Siena is half price through Jimmy Bean's, too.

Ooh, you lucky animals.

Once in a Lifetime, Hopefully

The ice storm began Friday night December 20.
At first, the transformation was quite interesting . . .

. . . but, devastation quickly followed.

We were without electrical power for 5 days, but we survived.
However, the ice burdened trees suffered harm beyond repair.
The coming Spring will tell the tale.
Sad.
